i pray to surrender
i raise my hand
and try to close it
but i can’t
because God is holding it
i begin to cry
not feeling
or thinking about the tears
all i know
is that God is with me today
i pray to surrender
my past
i start to cry
and tell my brother
i’m crying because
he doesn’t believe my past
he hugs me and
he says he believes
i hug him
and cry
my life has just changed
i don’t know
what will happen next
all i know
is that God is with me tonight
